Pacific Renewable Energy Fund
Pacific Renewable Energy Fund offers an opportunity outside of formal public equity markets for investors seeking not only financial returns but social and environmental value. It's called impact investing.
Impact investments aim to solve social or environmental challenges while generating financial profit. The fundamental idea of impact investing is to align the way a business generates profits with the way it generates positive social and environmental impact.
Impact investments address poverty, climate change, and other global challenges, while generating steady returns. A growing number of investors are searching for impact investments across geographies, sectors, and asset classes. These investors share a conviction that creative investment can play a crucial role addressing social and environmental challenges. After all, the measure of a life well-lived is not to be simply rich, but rather to be truly wealthy by doing well and good through the course of one's life.
The Fund's mission is to promote, develop, and invest in clean energy sources for the Pacific Island Nations, to reduce, and ultimately eliminate, the Pacific Island Nations' dependability on fossil fuels, to improve the quality, minimize the cost and expand the use of electricity in the Pacific Islands Region, to achieve an equal access to affordable and sustainable renewable energy sources in environmentally responsible and commercially viable manner.
The Fund's objective is to produce an attractive and steady financial return on investments through the commercial advancement of clean energy technologies.
Although our primary focus is on the Pacific Island Nations, all of the Pacific Rim countries are within the area of our investment interest.
